ABOUT ME

As former rock climber, rugby player and now ageing cyclist I've always had an interest in pubs and beer. It might stem from my early years when my Great Aunt Elvie was running the Lifeboat Tavern in Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth, which my great grandparents had run before her.  Whatever it was, I'm saddened when I see pubs closing and felt that I'd like to do a little to record the fact that they had existed and to draw this to others' attention.  Besides, it gives me another reason to get out and about on the bike!
